Still Plenty of Wildlife

The last four pictures in this post were taken on the North Food Plot before the thinning began. The remainder were taken near the end of Dead End Road over a sizable scrape. It is apparent from the variety of wildlife on the camera that Dead End Road is well-traveled.

Note the date on the photo above. Cocky suckers aren't they?

There were actually three deer passing through the forest at the time the above-picture was taken.

Here is Bruiser.

In addition to turkeys, deer, armadillos, racoons, and possums, we had this guy. Every once and a while, he'd walk up/down Dead End Road; usually during the day time.

I almost looks like this guy lost his antlers, but it isn't necessarily time for him to drop them yet.

North Food Plot Pictures

These are all taken on the North Food Plot. The guy in the picture above prowled around the food plot for several minutes. This is the first photo of him. The camera, unfortunately, makes an audible clicking sound when it takes the photo. Nearly all photos have the deer keying in on the camera despite the fact that it is infrared.
A couple of minutes after the first photo, he decides he's going to get a closer look. We have one more photo of him two minutes later circling the edge of the food plot.

I thought this photo was interesting.

This is a younger buck.

This guy is a bruiser. I can't decide if it is the same buck that is in the first two photos above.

Far from a bruiser, this guy is a clown. What is this?

 Fourth night in the past two weeks that a decent buck made its way through the North Food Plot. Note this is within shooting hours. Bang!

Variety of Bucks, Not all Nocturnal

Shawn's camera, set up over a scrape on Dead End Road, captured a nice variety of bucks. This is apparently the place of be. Good luck.

We've seen the fellow above before in the V-food plot.

Got a little something all over your face, there sir. Let me clean that off of you with my .338.

Now we are getting somewhere

I suppose you may call this an infestation. 

V-Food Plot. 6:15 p.m. We are inching closer to daylight hours. This guy has some length and is officially on the "hit list."

Different buck. One day earlier than the photo above. From the look of his body, this guy has been around awhile.

Making some scrapes

We caught this little punk checking out some scrapes close to the South property line.

This guy was spotting on top of Pond Circle Road two hours about sun down.

This doe was tearing up the South food plot.

Dates and times are correct. This one snuck out right at dusk.

As you know, we have plenty of creatures roaming around.

Good gracious, look at them turkeys. This explains why I didn't kill anything last turkey season. They were all on the South food plot.
